Vasectomy

 

We have merged with HSHS Medical Group for all urological needs other than vasectomies, therefore we are not in network with any insurance plans regarding vasectomies.

 

The total cost of a vasectomy is $900 - we require a $100 non-refundable down payment in order to schedule the procedure and the remaining $800 will need to be paid up front on the day of the procedure. This amount does not include the cost of the 2 semen samples. Those you will take to the lab of your choice and they will bill you for that.

 

You must have someone available to drive you home after the procedure.

 

You will receive a packet in the mail and will need to read through the packet and follow all the instructions for the procedure. Bring all signed paperwork to the office on the day of the procedure. You will also receive a prescription in the packet and will need to start taking that the day before the procedure (instructions will also be on the medication bottle from the pharmacy).

 

There is a weight restriction after the procedure - NO lifting over 20 lbs for 5 days.

 

We will give you a receipt on the day of the procedure with the billing code and diagnosis code on it. You can send this to your insurance to see if they will reimburse anything to you. Any reimbursement from insurance will be sent directly to you.
